Meghalaya(5 night 6 days)
Day 01: Guwahati Airport / Rly Station – Shillong (100 kms / 3 hrs.):
You will be picked up at the Guwahati airport and driven to Shillong with a halt for the tea break at Nongpoh. In the evening, visit the local market. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 02: Excursion to Mawlynnong & Dawki (90 kms / 3 hrs.):
After breakfast drive to Mawlynnong village(90 kms/3hrs), considered to be the cleanest village of India. The route to the village is through the winding roads and panoramic views traveling amidst the clouds in the Shillong plateau. On arrival, start trekking to see the living root bridge found here (about 400 meters from the roadside). After the trek ends, we will take a walk around the village and explore the lifestyle of the people of the village. Return to Shillong. Overnight Stay in your hotel.
Day 03: Excursion to Cherrapunjee (60 kms / 2 hrs. One Way):
Today is the day for an excursion to Cherrapunjee which is commonly known as the wettest place on the planet. Cherrapunji is the land of mesmerizing waterfalls set up against the backdrop of lush green hillocks. Two prominent waterfalls in this region are the Nohkalikai Falls and the Nohsngithiang Falls which are famous as the Seven Sister Falls. Both these falls make for stunning views and are picture-perfect locales that will warm your heart. It draws the attention of many a nature lover on account of its breathtaking beauty and stunning weather.We will take you back to Shillong for your stay in the hotel.
Day 04: Shillong Sightseeing – Guwahati (100 kms / 03 hrs.):
After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing of Shillong like Ward’s Lake, Botanical Garden, Butterfly Park etc. After the local sightseeing we will proceed for Guwahati. On the arrival, check in at the hotel and relax. In the evening you can enjoy a river cruise in the mighty Brahmaputra river. Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Day 05: Hotel – Guwahati Airport / Rly Station:
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey. Tour Ends.
